Why is my news release not showing up?

A press release maybe offline for two reasons:

1) Any edits, no matter how small, to an already published news release will cause it to be temporarily unavailable, while our editorial team has an opportunity to review it again. Once it is approved it will be visible again. Editorial staff works normal business hours from 9a.m to 5p.m. PST Monday thru Friday. Press release edited after hours will remain offline until the next business day.

2) Or, you may have recently submitted a press release to PR Leap and received a notice of approval along with its assigned URL. This page will be empty until your news release is actually published on its assigned release date.

Does PR Leap accept articles?

No. PR Leap is a press release (news) distribution service. You are welcomed to write a news release announcing your new article. Make sure to include excerpts from your article and provide a link back to your site, where readers can read the full article.

Does PR Leap accept news reports?

No. PR Leap only accepts press releases, not news reports.

What is the difference?
A press release is written by an organization to generate publicity for their product, service or event. News reports submitted to PR Leap tend to be written by citizen journalists (independent writers) who want to provide their own accounts on what happened at a particular place or event. Although they may be well written, this is not the type of news PR Leap distributes.

Note: Some news reports can be fixed by including material that shows how your organization relates to the story. You must find a way to tie news event to your business. Or, write a news release announcing the article and provide a link back to your site, where readers can read the full story.

What are the system requirements?

Although there are no system requirements to run PR Leap, for Macs, PCs or Linux, we recommend any recent version of a Mozilla-based browser, including Firefox and Camino. On a Mac you can also use the most recent version of Apple's Safari browser. On a PC, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (or greater) will also work well.

Note: PR Leap does not develop for AOL. That means most of the time AOL users experience no difficulties and sometimes they do.

I have a great idea for a feature! How can I suggest it?

Let us know so we can put it on the list. PR Leap will be constantly improved with your suggestions in mind. Send feedback here.

What considerations have been given to copyright?

If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, or your intellectual property rights have been otherwise violated, please submit a Notice of Infringement to the PR Leap's Copyright Agent. Information on how to do this correctly is here, and there's a link in the footer.

I have concerns about something I read on the site. What can I do?

Let us know if you come across something or someone on PR Leap that is causing you concern via our webform.

When you send us your report, we need as much detail as you can give us (including the link to the news release, or link to a website). We will review against the Terms of Service and our Submission Guidelines, and take appropriate action as required.
