Dedication of Pea Island All-black Lifesaving Station Museum set for Memorial Day.
In honor of the historic all-black lifesaving crew that saved many lives off the coast of North Carolina, a new museum is opening in the town of Manteo, NC. The original cookhouse from the Pea Island Lifesaving Station has recently been moved and restored, and will open to the public May 28th.
