On May 30, the Evergreen Chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America (EGA) donated 60 cross-stitched “Soldier Kissing Pillows” to the A 4-6 ACS Squadron in Fort Lewis, scheduled for deployment to Iraq on June 6. The embroiderers’ group adopted Fort Lewis soldiers earlier in the year as a community service project, donating its first group of 133 pillows on February 6 to the 502d Military Intelligence Battalion, already deployed to Iraq. - July 03, 2007
