Peter Siao, PhD, joins Mediox, Inc. as Chief Technology Officer

Seattle, WA – Mediox, Inc today announced the appointment of Dr. Peter Siao, as Chief Technology Officer. As Mediox's new CTO, Dr. Siao brings tremendous experience in wireless communications, computer hardware and software industries. Peter Siao has over 25 years international executive experience. He has a track record as a founder of many successful wireless companies, defining technology strategies and raising venture capital. Dr. Siao brings 12 granted patents on mobile multimedia technologies.

Prior to joining Mediox, Dr. Siao served as an acting CEO of 3G Cellular, Inc. in San Diego, CA. He was instrumental in securing over $46 million in funding, taking the company through a cycle of exponential growth and negotiating a successful sale of the venture. Before 3G Cellular, Inc., Dr. Siao founded eMobile Communications, a wireless fabrication service in Shanghai, China, raising $23 million in the first round of financing. In 1997 Dr. Siao founded and managed Prominent Communications, Inc, a San Diego-based CMOS GSM/CDMA ASIC design house raising over $14 million. Dr. Siao also held various leadership positions with IBM Microelectronics, Qualcomm, Inc. and Galaxy Information Technology, Inc.

Through an independent entity, Pointmedia, Dr. Siao employs 14 masters and PhD engineers in Beijing, China that will develop a state of the art mobile content distribution system called SmartNet for Mediox, Inc.. SmartNet will allow advertisers, television networks and restaurant operators to manage multimedia content displayed on Mediox SmartTrays nationwide, or in individual restaurants, run targeted campaigns, perform surveys and track visitor browsing patterns.

Dr. Siao holds a bachelors degree in physics from National Taiwan University, a masters degrees in physics from National Tsing-Hua University in Taiwan and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles.
