Quit your day job to blog?

October 26, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Lifestyle News
A new blog chronicling the experiences of a man who quit his job to blog has been launched. Blogumnist.com, was launched by someone who has decided to make the plunge from full-time employment to earning a living blogging. Sean McGoldrick from Dublin, Ireland said he made the decision to quit his job because the stresses and strains of the job were no longer worth the money.

The site contains a day-by-day account of what it’s like to make the transition from having a nine to five job to blogging for a living.

Sean McGoldrick said: "There are already lots of people making a living from blogging so it is not so far-fetched. Apart from the A-List Bloggers such as Darren Rowse and John Chow there are many other people making rather more average incomes running smaller but nonetheless successful blogs."

He believes it is possible to earn a living from blogging and has set himself the goal of making it work within the next three to four months before his money runs out.

Note to Editors:
Sean McGoldrick quit his full-time day job in October 2007 with enough money to keep him going for three or four months. He is using that time to see if it is possible to make a living writing blogs.
