LOS ANGELES, CA – October 26, 2007 – On October 11, 2007, celebrities gathered in the Pacific Palisades for the Early Childhood Partial Hospitalization Program (ECPHP) hosted by Jenny McCarthy to raise money for this imperative organization. The cocktail party featured Kai Vodka, the world’s first ultra-premium rice vodka, as the drink of choice during this event that helped raise over $500,000.

The ECPHP is a short-term integrated day treatment program for young children with autism, developmental disabilities, and behavior disorders. Attending celebrities included Holly Robinson Peete, Amy Yasbeck, Brooke Shields and Tom Arnold as well as Jim Carrey, whose daughter, Jane Carrey, performed for the attendees.

The Early Childhood Partial Hospitalization Program
• evaluates and treats children in a structured, individualized program
• develops individual educational, behavioral, and social intervention plans for each child
• provides family intervention to assist parents in understanding their child’s needs and manage their child’s behavior
• communicates with school districts and regional centers to facilitate the child’s transition into appropriate educational placements and community services

“We are very proud to be part of such an important issue,” says Kai founder, Marcus Bender. “We all have a responsibility to support the people and community in which we live. ECPHP is a wonderful program and we hope to work with them again in the near future.”

Kai, recently made its launch in California, and is already becoming the new ‘it’ drink with its Lychee flavored vodka. As Kai’s popularity grows, Bender will continue to contribute to more charitable organizations and events.

About ECPHP:
ECPHP is a five-day a week, six-hour a day program with a very low student to teacher ratio (either 1:1 or 2:1). All aspects of the program are integrated and coordinated to create an individualized, comprehensive, consistent, interdisciplinary, and therapeutic environment. The ECPHP is a child and family friendly program with several child-friendly rooms, therapy rooms, and observation rooms. Children also have supervised access to outdoor recreation decks and a swimming pool. The university campus, Westwood Village, and the outside community are often used for recreation and social activities. Please visit www.ecphp.npi.ucla.edu for more information.
