Sydney, Australia, October 27, 2007 – The PokerDome Group (based in Sydney, Australia) today announced it has entered into an agreement with the management and owners of the Diamond Casino in the Holiday Inn to open and operate the first permanent cash poker room in Macau.

This will be the first venue to operate cash games in the People’s Republic of China. It is anticipated that the room will be operational by November 20.

PokerDome Group chief executive officer Chris Levick said he was delighted to make this momentous announcement, which would send shockwaves through the poker world.

“Macau currently has the greatest buzz of any gaming destination on the planet. It’s unbelievable. We are thrilled to make this announcement, which will allow us to run the first live cash poker games ever played in Macau,” Levick said.

“Initially, we’ll be opening with eights tables but we’ll be renovating another floor of the Diamond Casino with the expectation of extending that to 25-30 tables as quickly as possible.”

Levick said the room would offer a range of games, including no limit and pot-limit hold’em games, and as required, seven-card stud, seven-card stud hi/lo, Omaha, Omaha hi/lo and other games (pending Government approval).

“We also have some very big plans for one of the largest international tournaments ever held to introduce the poker world to Macau.”

Levick said the announcement would not have been possible but for the contribution of fellow Australian Jeff Lisandro, one of the world’s best known poker players.

“We couldn’t have achieved what we have without the help and support of Jeff Lisandro. He has played a key role in delivering this into Macau – it was really his vision and contacts that led to this happening,” Levick said.

“Jeff is a shareholder of the PokerDome Group and we expect that he’ll spend several months each year overseeing the operation, working with the high-stakes players and VIPs, and playing a vital PR role promoting the room to the poker world at large.

The PokerDome Group operates five poker rooms throughout Sydney and New South Wales, and has just opened a new purpose built poker venue in the suburb of Hurstville. Cash-entry sit ’n’ goes and tournaments are permitted in licensed venues in the state of New South Wales.

The PokerDome Group also operates Oz Poker Tour, a venue-based competition run throughout New South Wales, and markets its own poker energy drink, No Limit.
