Willows Mansion hosts The Holiday Antique, Gift & Craft Show Extravaganza

Willows Park announces the opening of the Annual Antique, Gift & Craft Show. Situated on a 48 acre complex, this picturesque setting offers Willow Trees, duck ponds, picnic areas, bridges and walking paths. The Mansion, which has many stories of historical value, boasts many large rooms, done in "Themed" style and packed to the rafters with Antiques,Gifts and handmade Crafts and Fine Arts. This semi-annual Show has a loyal following.

For 20 yrs.Willows Mansion has been host to the Annual Holiday Antique, Gift and Craft Extravaganza. Filled with over 100 vendors, of all mediums, the Show features "Themed" Rooms, such as, Country, Children's, Victorian, Ladies Boutique, Kitchen, Atrium with Fine Arts and Music, and of course, Holiday Rooms with Handmades and Retail. Specialty Trees abound in every Room with huge selections of ornaments. The Chilren's Room features old Antique beds and Armoires and the kitchens..country cupboards. The Victorian Room is the most popular Room in the house. It is filled with chests , beds and unusual pieces that are hard to find. Glass, tea cups, lamps and antique doilies..are the many items one can rummage through. It's fun to pretend or just ponder over what it was like to live in this part of the Mansion, as a child.

The Kitchen and Library are filled with fresh baked breads and goodies, dips, coffes, chocolates and stocking stuffers. Samples are provided on many of these items.

The Barrasse family took over the reigns about 6 years ago, and have made it a Labor of Love, for the whole family. Marion swears it has been extremely advantageous to her children, who work the Show in every aspect. They have learned many of Life's lessons, just dealing with many types of situations, especially during the really busy weekends, when it's very stressful.

" It is a very frantic pace. We come into a completely clean building and within 72 hours, the framework is set up (primarily to save the integrity of this historical building), Crafters
and Artists are placed, and Design and Asthetics are added." " We have to constantly move things around and try to make it exciting for the many dedicated customers we have, all around Main Line and the Tri-State area. We try to "WOW" them as much as we can, in this short amount of time we have, to set up."

Scented Candles abound, mulling spices brew and are sampled out, and it is a pleasure for all the senses. "We try to make it a memorable experience! There are so many customers that return every year in groups, generations of family , friends and neighbors, that come to spend a large part of the day with us, we owe it to them!"

The Show dates are November 8th-25th this Year.

The Show is open 10-7 weekdays and 10-6 Sat. and Sun. It is closed on Thanksgiving Day and at 4:00 pm on the last day of the Show.
