Issues on Terrorism and Peace Tackled in Xlibris Release

November 06, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
The War on Terrorism continues both in American shores and abroad, but as the fighting goes on at the battlefront, another fierce war rages in the halls of several august institutions through heated debate.

As scholars and advocates alike struggle to find meaning and closure to the occurrence of situations that gave rise to this War on Terror, one academician decided to put their ideas together in a compelling anthology. The result of this endeavor is the book, “Unveiling the Real Terrorist Mind”.

Unveiling the Real Terrorist Mind is an interdisciplinary compilation of fresh perspectives that tackle several issues related to terrorism in today’s world and the search for peace. Bringing these articles together is the anthology’s editor, Nadia Batool Ahmad, herself a professor and a staunch peace advocate.

Contributing their thoughts to Unveiling the Real Terrorist Mind are luminaries in their respective fields. This roster of authors includes Nobel Laureate Betty Williams, NYU law professor Derrick Bell, MIT professor Noam Chomsky, CSU Long Beach professor Maulana Karenga, Temple University professor Molefi Kete Asante, Georgetown professor John Esposito, author Howard Zinn, author Ishmael Reed, author Michael Parenti, human rights activist Sara Flounders, former U.S. Congressman Paul Findley, former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark, 2006 U.S. Congressional candidate Bob Bowman, and many other exciting authors.

Apart from enlightening articles that explore issues of terrorism, genocide, race, and war, Unveiling the Real Terrorist Mind also has several pro-peace essays and poems to balance the peace equation with spurts of creative artistry.

Unveiling the Real Terrorist Mind is a book that will not only shock readers into the reality of terrorism in society, but will also elicit a more powerful need for each individual to strive for peace even in the darkest of times.
