Vicinitee.com Ventures Into the Residential Sector

November 07, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Lifestyle News
A pioneering website - based on an online system used by thousands of workers in the City - is set to transform urban living at the click of a mouse. Vicinitee.com has two roles, to make serviced apartments better connected to their community, and help make the building run more efficiently and securely.

The community features will enable residential tenants and owners to log on to a password protected area, which includes an online concierge, as well as the booking of communal facilities such as barbeques and tennis courts.

Users can log on to find an army of support – including cleaners, dog-walkers, gardeners, laundry services and personal shoppers based in their community – and even access their washing machine’s warranty online.
Such help with life’s domestic chores then leaves customers free to focus on life’s luxuries, including booking a restaurant table, ordering flowers and that special gift - all from the convenience of the desktop.

Live feeds for relevant travel information specific to the area and local deals from retailers, restaurants and other service providers, are also available.

Property management modules streamline the day-to-day operations of prestige developments, including a fault-recording service, online helpdesk and visitor entry system - all cutting down on paperwork and offering a ‘real time’ service for maximum efficiency.
Vicinitee Limited has announced it is to roll out into the residential market, after a two-year development process.
Its commercial website, launched in 2001 by Broadgate Estates Limited - a subsidiary of The British Land Company plc - already has a strong following in the City of London, where it is used in landmark buildings across the city.
The retail version of the online portal is also used at centres across the UK including Meadowhall in Sheffield.
Bob Flood, managing director of Vicinitee, said: “Vicinitee Residential will provide residential developments, with a tried and trusted system already used by some of the country’s largest commercial centres.

“It has been introduced to support landlords, managing agents and developers who want to instigate a fast, efficient method to power the smooth running of residential centres, which also enable tenants and owners in the property to make the most of the space around them.

“Ultimately, we feel it represents the exciting future online technology can deliver in the residential property sector.”
