Stark Development Board Launches New County Website

CANTON, OH: The Stark Development Board (SDB) has announced the launch of its new website at http://www.starkcoohio.com. The site features detailed information about Stark County, available industrial land and buildings, the 2007 Stark County Factbook, as well as in-depth information about the SDB, the Stark Development Board Finance Corporation and the Stark County Port Authority. In addition, the site offers extensive information about the Stark County lifestyle, education, workforce, financial assistance and incentives for businesses, along with arts and culture in the area.

”We are pleased to launch the Stark Development Board’s new website ‘Live, Work, Play.’ We believe our audience will find the new website is attractive, easy to use and comprehensive in the amount of information it provides to businesses and residents about Stark County as a great place to live, work and play,” said SDB president, Steve Paquette.

The Stark Development Board is a private, nonprofit corporation created to help local companies grow and expand. In addition, the SDB actively seeks to attract new business investments to Stark County, one of the most economically viable areas in Northeast Ohio.

The SDB is committed to aggressively assisting and attracting technology, alternate energy and service industries to our county. The organization also seeks to attract manufacturing enterprises which are the historic backbone of the area.

The SDB is also Stark County’s business advocate for workforce development. We collaborate with various state organizations and local educational institutions to help companies upgrade their workers' skill, recruit and train new employees and replace skilled employees due to attrition.

The site was designed and developed by Odell Advertising/Marketing, Inc., based in North Canton. Visually, the site ties in closely to the Cleveland+ marketing campaign, an SDB partner. Cleveland+ promotes the Northeast Ohio region for business relocation and tourism. Along with the website, Odell also crafted a logo for Stark County and developed a monthly e-newsletter for the SDB that reflects the branding set forth in the new website.
