Attorney Lester S. Rosen will deliver the keynote address at the First Annual India Worldwide Pre-employment Screeners' Conference to be held in Bangalore, India on December 6 and 7, 2007. Rosen is also president of California-based Employment Screening Resources (ESR), a leading U.S. background screening firm and author of “The Safe Hiring Manual,” the definitive book on background screening and safe hiring.

The conference provides an opportunity for background screening professionals, as well as human resources and risk-management specialists from around the world to network, seek out a common understanding about best practices and to promote a common goal of providing employers worldwide with professional background screening of new employees. The speakers will discuss best practices in the United States, India, and Pakistan and around the world. Attendees are also expected to include representatives from employers in the United States and India, as well as from around the world. The conference is being held at the Taj West Hotel in Bangalore.

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to address this distinguished gathering since I strongly believe that it is in the best interest of everyone to come together to share knowledge and to promote professional standards,” said Rosen, who is also a frequent speaker at conferences throughout the U.S. “As the world becomes a smaller place, it’s critical for screening professionals to broaden our horizons and become familiar with screening practices and protocols all over the world."

The Conference is sponsored by the Background Investigator, a firm that has been holding highly successful national conferences in Tampa, Florida since 2001, and publishes the Background Investigator, the leading news publication for the U.S. screening industry. In the U.S. these conferences lead to the formation of the first industry association for professional background screeners. Rosen also served as the chairperson of the steering committee that founded the National Association of Professional Background Screeners, (www.NAPBS.com) and served as its first co-chairperson.
