The first issue includes pet toys. Future issues offer room decorating projects, fashion accessories and party favors. The newsletter will also include personal stories and articles submitted by readers. Instructions are in plain English with step-by-step illustrations that even the youngest reader will be able to follow. BK4K offers an opportunity to enhance babysitting time, grandparent visits and family evenings without TV, as well as group events like slumber parties and scout meetings.

"By Kids For Kids" will be the second major email newsletter published by The Lion Brand Yarn Company. It will join the very popular Lion Brand Newsletter which is emailed weekly to over 370,000 subscribers. Kids are encouraged to get their parents permission and subscribe online at: http://www.lionbrand.com/byKidsForKidsRequest.html . The first issue will be emailed to subscribers on Thursday July 7.
