Tempe, AZ – November 12, 2007 – The enthusiasm for college football is not winding down in Tempe, Arizona (www.tempecvb.com). In fact, the excitement is beginning to build for the Insight Bowl, coming to Tempe’s Sun Devil Stadium on December 31, 2007.

Teams from two of the premier conferences, the Big Ten and Big 12, will compete for the title at Sun Devil Stadium. The Insight Bowl match-up will be announced in early December and the game will be televised live to a nationwide audience on the NFL Network.

In addition to the big game, Tempe, Arizona will roll out the red carpet for all of the visiting Insight Bowl fans. The warm December weather is the perfect backdrop for a variety of activities, including mingling with football fans in the shops, restaurants and taverns in the pedestrian-friendly Mill Avenue District, exhilarating outdoor recreation in the scenic Sonoran Desert, engaging arts and cultural experiences and one of the nation’s best New Year’s Eve events.

Fans with tickets to the game will have free admission to the Insight Fiesta Bowl Block Party in the historic Mill Avenue District. This New Year’s Eve street party, voted one of the top celebrations in the country by USA Today, is a fun experience for the whole family. There will be spectacular fireworks displays at 10 p.m. and midnight, interactive games, 40 local bands on 11 stages, freestyle motor cross jumpers, beer gardens, the nationally-acclaimed Barenaked Ladies as the headlining musical act on the main stage, and an exciting countdown at midnight.
