One Fine Day! is an entirely student produced and financed mini-series from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. The mini-series tells the story of four resident advisors who live in campus dormitories and their experiences with both dealing with students and coming into adulthood.

The goal of One Fine Day! to get allow students hands on production experience, both behind and in front of the camera. The small cast and crew hope to output five 22-minute episodes and a sixth 44-minute conclusion to their series.

Currently, they have completed and released three of the 22-minute episodes and with the fourth due for release November 15th.

The show is broadcast over the Internet at a variety of video websites such as YouTube.com and Dailymotion.com, and soon on the university’s closed circuit network, illiniTV, run by Residential Life. The series is entirely financed by creators Derek Klein and Marc Morin. The entire cast and crew are working on a voluntary basis (meaning no monetary reimbursement for our actors or crew) though actors were asked to sign on for a six-episode commitment.

The crew's intent is to continue to release on a bi-weekly schedule, and their production model has allowed them to meet this goal so far.

After the first month the pilot episode, "First Language," has had over 1200 views total on the various websites; and the second episode is nearing the 500 views mark. Broadcast on the campus closed circuit network should begin at some point in November and the cast is also awaiting approval for broadcast on the Columbia University, New York campus.
