Gatlin Education Services founder recognized for industry leadership

Stephen Gatlin, CEO and founder of Fort Worth-based Gatlin Education Services, was recently presented with the Association for Continuing Higher Education’s Leadership Award, the highest honor of the organization. Focusing on contributions that extend beyond Association activities, the award recognizes Gatlin for demonstrating exceptional performance in leadership, theory and practice in continuing higher education on national and international levels. The award nominations touted Gatlin characteristics such as ‘a valued partner’, ‘has created innovative learning opportunities’, ‘upholds commitment to workforce education’ and ‘has provided outstanding customer service’. The honor commends Gatlin on his goal to provide options for adult learners through the development of lifelong learning delivered online. Offered to hundreds of educational institutions and corporations worldwide, Gatlin’s vast number of certificate programs offers an accessible and effective Web-based learning experience.

Gatlin was given the award by Brian Cook, senior director of Continuing and International Education at Cal State East Bay and the ACHE awards committee chair. The presentation took place at the Association’s 69th Annual Conference and Meeting.

Under Steve’s leadership, Gatlin Education Services has made extraordinary contributions to the field of professional development,” said Cook. “Gatlin has been an ACHE affiliate member since 2001 and has been supportive both regionally and nationally through his financial and exhibitor sponsorships at annual meetings.”
