10th Anniversary Show for the Blank-Fest Benefit Concert Series.

This year marks the 10th Anniversary Show for the Blank-Fest Benefit Concert series. Blank-Fest 2007 will be held at Bruxelles (173 Main St., Nyack, NY) on Sunday, December 16 from Noon until closing. The price of admission is always one blanket (any condition) which will be distributed to the homeless throughout the Winter, starting n Christmas Eve.

Founded by NYC indie rock veteran Kenn Rowell in 1997, Blank-Fest has raised over 3,200 total donations that have been distributed to NYC and the surrounding area's less fortunate and have inspired similar efforts in New Jersey, NYC, Texas, Toronto, Canada and Nottingham, UK. The show in Nyack will feature over 20 music acts of varying styles from amongst the rank and file of NY-based and national touring bands. Rowell's Manhattan-based group, The Baghdaddios, will serve as the function's host. Among the many named artists who have appeared at past Blank-Fest shows: Patti Rothberg (EMI), Buddy Cage (Grateful Dead), Marc Rizzo (Soulfly) and Meg Griffin (Sirius Radio). Also included are Hudson Valley local favorites such as international touring artists Joe D'Urso and Stone Caravan and newcomers Fallen Innocence, who have already committed to this year's show.
