Global Outsourcing 100 Application Deadline Extended

November 18, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y., Nov. 18 – Outsourcing service providers interested in being ranked among the world’s best in the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals’ (IAOP) annual listing, The Global Outsourcing 100, can apply until Nov. 22, 2007.

IAOP has extended the deadline for the 2008 ranking by one week to ensure that all companies have the opportunity to be considered and that the listing is as comprehensive as possible to make it the most useful resource for customers in selecting outsourcing providers.

“We have already gotten an outstanding response for our third annual ranking,” said Kim Maneeley, IAOP director of professional development. “Each year, the number of applicants and interest increases, making The Global Outsourcing 100 even more valuable to providers and customers.”

In addition to the main list of 100 of the world’s best outsourcing service providers, companies also are considered for 25 sublists that rank outsourcing companies by the industry served, services offered and region of the world where the service is provided.

The companies named on The Global Outsourcing 100 will be announced at the association’s annual conference, The 2008 Outsourcing World Summit®, Feb. 18-20, at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Orlando, Fla., attended by hundreds of the industry’s top customers, providers and advisors.

The ranking of these companies and sublists then will be unveiled in a special advertising section of Fortune® magazine in April that reaches nearly 4 million readers.

Published on IAOP’s Web site, The Global Outsourcing 100 and sublists are also highly viewed and searched on the Internet, adding to the visibility winners receive.

Applications will be judged by a seven-member panel of IAOP experts led by Managing Director of Thought Leadership, Jagdish Dalal, a Certified Outsourcing Professional (COP) and world-renowned outsourcing expert. Other judges on the panel represent BASF, American Express, Safeco Insurance, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Booz Allen Hamilton and Quint Wellington Redwood.
