IRVINE, CA – As the fall awards season comes to a close, Earthbound Media Group (EMG) takes inventory of its most recently awarded certificates and statuettes. Having claimed prizes at the W3 Awards early this fall, EMG is proud to announce multiple wins at this year’s Davey, MarCom and Interactive Media Awards.

Starting the season out right, EMG announced in early October their double W3 Awards win with Loma Linda University Medical Center’s Proton Treatment Center website and the University of La Verne (ULV) virtual tour. Each project won a Silver award in their respective categories – Health Care Services for protons.com and Rich Media Marketing for the ULV virtual tour.

The most wins for EMG came by way the 2007 MarCom Awards. The overall ULV marketing campaign received Platinum, the show’s highest honor, in the Marketing & Promotion Campaign - Corporate Branding category. A second Platinum was awarded to the ULV virtual tour in the Microsite category. Gold MarCom awards were presented to the Loma Linda University Medical Center’s Proton Therapy website for Web Site Overall and to the ULV virtual tour for Streaming Video. And finally, the Technology Marketing Center website was awarded Honorable Mention in the Web Interactive Capabilities category.

EMG also received not one but two Outstanding Achievement honors in the University category of the Interactive Media Awards (IMAs). Both the University of Southern California (USC) Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy website and the University of La Verne (ULV) Admissions virtual tour were given this honor. Judged by a panel of industry experts, the USC site scored 465 out of a possible 500 while the ULV virtual tour scored an impressive 477 out of 500. Both entered in the highly competitive University category, each project was evaluated on design, content, functionality, usability and standards compliance and cross-browser compatibility.

Additionally, the ULV virtual tour was awarded Silver at the prestigious Davey Awards. Competing in the New Media Experience category, the Flash-based tour was recognized as an outstanding microsite. This honor represents the project’s fifth award of the year and speaks to the creative ingenuity of the EMG team.

“I’m very proud to see what we’ve done for USC, LLUMC, TMC and ULV be recognized,” said EMG Principal and Executive Producer Dr. Blaine Behringer. “In the case of USC , for example, we’ve worked with the Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy for the past seven years on various marketing endeavors. It’s satisfying that we continue to deliver award winning interactive projects and uphold our commitment to excellence.”

Although all these award-winning projects represent distinctly different projects, they all accomplish the same goals. By incorporating best practices in usability, content management and interactive design, they have helped elevate the profile of each institution. Additionally, they’ve helped identify EMG as a leader in interactive marketing and forward-thinking solutions.

“We are thrilled that these projects are being recognized as innovative online experiences within the marketing, interactive communications and advertising industries,” Dr. Behringer continued. “It proves that EMG is raising the bar for online marketing and web development in higher education, healthcare and beyond.”
