Bali in Watercolour Solo Painting Exhibition by Rudolf G. Usman

Ubud, Bali, Maya Ubud Resort & Spa will feature a solo painting exhibition by Rudolf G. Usman, titled -Bali in Watercolour- during the month of August 2005.

Rudolf who has travelled many countries for inspiration of his paintings, regularly visits Bali and is captured by the beautiful nature of places such as Kintamani, Bedugul, Uluwatu, Pantai Suluban, Desa Sidemen, Jatiluwih, also nearby island of Nusa Lembongan. Bali is one of his favourite places and it continues to inspire him in creating artworks. The beauty and tranquility of the nature of Bali is expressed in this collection of watercolours.

He uses many mediums in his works. However watercolour is his most preferred and has become an important part in his career as an artist. After more than 20 years working with watercolour, in 1992 together with his friend he formed an organization named Indonesia Watercolour Society. He then joined Asian Watercolour Confederation aiming to develop and increase the appreciation on watercolour painting in Indonesia. In 1997 he wrote a book on his watercolour work titled Tropical Tranquility.

Forty pieces of his beautiful watercolours can be viewed during this painting exhibition at Maya Ubud Resort & Spa during August.
