KEVIN PAULS RELEASES THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS & PREPARES FOR AN EVENTFUL 2008

(PRLEAP.COM) Music. It’s his love and his life. And life is about to take an exciting new turn in a brand new direction for Kevin Pauls. An industry veteran with more than two decades in the music business, this longtime gospel artist has toured with The Gaithers, released seven independent albums, won the Hamilton Music Scene Award for Canadian Recording of the Year (2005), and has been honoured with multiple award nominations by GMA Canada.

To end off a successful 2007, Pauls’ is releasing a Christmas single “ The Spirit of Christmas” and taking part in some amazing holiday concerts. A full length Christmas album will be released for the 2008 holiday season.

Thanks to a new label (SPF Records) and a new distribution deal with Icon/Universal, Pauls is ready to break into the mainstream in a big way. His upcoming 2008 CD release True has him joining forces with some of the most widely acclaimed producers, songwriters and musicians in the industry. In fact, powerhouse producer David Foster co-wrote Pauls’ stunning new single “Make Forever Stay” - a soaring ballad that fans are already calling “unforgettable.”

With influences ranging from Michael English to Steve Archer to Bebe Winans, Pauls’ has carved out his own unique style - Southern Gospel meets Pop with a little Black Gospel thrown in for good measure. One of the highlights off True is a version of “Broken Wings”, the #1 hit song released in 1985 by Mr. Mister. Collaborating on “True” are celebrated producers Michael Omartian (Rod Stewart, Christopher Cross, Donna Summer, Amy Grant) and Chris Omartian (Pink, Hillary Duff).

This magical event features a tour of the elegant grand home, silent auction, hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and live performances by Glengowan Crossing (a Celtic group), and Kevin Pauls, a local soloist. Kevin will perform a variety of new & classic Christmas songs as well as his newly released (as of Nov. 19) Christmas single The Spirit of Christmas. Cost is $20 per person.
