Institute of Direct Marketing turns to Trainer1

July 08, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Education News
The Institute of Direct Marketing (IDM) has commissioned e-learning specialist Trainer1 to develop and produce e-learning materials relating to its professional qualifications programme.

According to Neil Lasher, managing director of Trainer1: “This involves us in producing a significant volume of e-learning material for two of the IDM’s widely respected marketing qualifications.”

Neil Morris, the IDM’s deputy managing director, commented: “There’s an acute shortage of people with modern direct, data and digital marketing skills. That is why IDM qualifications are sought by employers and highly prized by career-minded individuals.

“Whatever your experience, the more sophisticated marketing gets, the more you need to keep developing and refreshing your skills. The IDM qualifications programme equips marketing practitioners to manage successful customer relationships through every channel.

“It is important for the overall health of ‘UK plc’ that, in today’s fast-moving business world, we give as many people as possible to opportunity to learn the techniques of direct, data and digital marketing – and that means making these available via e-learning materials as well as via more traditional methods of tuition,” he added. “In that way, we are catering for a wider range of learning preferences among students as well as making these vital practices and techniques available to a much wider audience.

“We are delighted that Trainer1, with its many years of e-learning development expertise and impressive and prestigious list of current clients, is helping us to develop these new learning materials.”
