Jacuzzi Wines Whirl into La Casa Dolce Café

(PRLEAP.COM) Most well known for the whirlpool bath, the Jacuzzi family has also developed a fine winemaking heritage. Their mouth-watering, crisp red wines seemingly satisfy yet leave you thirsting for more. The velvety smooth Jacuzzi Family Vineyard wines will be featured this month on Thursday, November 29 as La Casa Dolce Café hosts a unique tasting opportunity. Wines are paired with a specially-matched selection of Italian desserts, including gelatos and sorbets. Pairings for this month include:

Jacuzzi Pinot Noir with Pistachio Gelato
Jacuzzi Barbera with Strawberry Shortcake Gelato
Jacuzzi Sangiovese with Green Apple Sorbet
Jacuzzi Primitivo with Junior’s Cheesecake
Jacuzzi Valeriano with Pumpkin Gelato

The Jacuzzi family established their vineyard in Northern California after emigrating from Italy in 1921. The rich red wines are made from non-chemically treated grapes. After growing in healthy soil, the organic wines are flavorful and maintain an unparalleled quality. Extreme care taken by the Jacuzzi family throughout harvesting has lead to exclusive and limited production of their wines.

“We’ve created some very intriguing pairings between the rich Jacuzzi wines and our various desserts,” said Dell Dahl, Chief Executive Officer for La Casa Dolce Café. “La Casa Dolce is excited to add the Jacuzzi Family Vineyard wines to our growing inventory. Because these wines are limited in production, we hope people will take advantage of the discount we offer with a purchase the night of the tasting and enjoy them at home.”

Another exciting feature of the November tasting is the introduction of Junior’s cheesecake. Delivered directly from Brooklyn to La Casa Dolce, Junior’s is known in New York as being the best cheesecake around. Since arriving at La Casa Dolce Café several months ago, the cheesecake has been hard to keep on the shelf. This will be the first time for Junior’s to be featured at a tasting along with sorbets and gelatos.

For those unfamiliar with gelato, it is Italian for ice cream, but this version of ice cream is made with less than half the fat of the traditional kind. All the gelatos and sorbets at La Casa Dolce Café are made on site using only the freshest seasonal fruits, nuts, and chocolates.
La Casa Dolce Café hosts a wine and gelato tasting on the last Thursday of every month at 406 S. Howard Avenue. Five flights of wine and gelato cost $10 anytime between 7:00 and 10:00 p.m. To view the complete menu, peruse the monthly events calendar or join the email list, log onto: www.lacasadolcecafe.com.
