ECOLIFE To GO Public
(
PRLEAP.COM) Ecolife Developments Ltd., the specialist Ecology builder in the Americas and Caribbean is delighted to announce the decision of its Board of Directors to pursue a float on the London Stock Exchange during mid-2008. Although the Company has grown successfully until this point without external funding it now finds itself in a position where the impact of a cash injection would be vital.
The reason for this is two-fold.
Firstly Ecolife has a number of commercial and residential development sites where the appropriate planning has been approved and construction on the land is now possible. Funding via a flotation will take away the financial pressures of “off-Plan” selling and allow long term contracts for build to be put in place guaranteeing a lower build cost throughout.
Second, the discovery of promising levels of Gold within their land in Ecuador requires a greater degree of exploratory capital than would be possible without the flotation. Having completed their preliminary sampling program a detailed mining appraisal will be complete by May 2008 which will identify exactly what level of Gold that can be taken from the land and the best ways of doing so in an eco-friendly environment.
It is hoped that this will be presented to the Markets as a late entry to part of the flotation prospectus.
The Ecolife CEO Charles Coburn is quoted as saying “all Ecolifes activities whether they be construction or mining will be in a manner causing the least possible disruption to local ecology and consistent with our deeply held principles with regard to the preservation of nature and natural resources. We at Ecolife are aiming to balance environmental conservation with overall profitability and we all feel that the chosen sites for development give us the maximum potential to provide a stable, long standing platform for our shareholders, sponsors and associated members.”
