COMPELLENT APPOINTS NEIL STOBART AS INTERNATIONAL STORAGE ARCHITECT

Compellent today announced the appointment of Neil Stobart as international storage architect. Stobart brings 15 years experience in developing technical storage architecture solutions.

He was most recently a solutions consultant with Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) where he was responsible for a number of cutting-edge technical solutions for major blue-chip customers that spanned high performance storage systems, data de-duplication, virtual tape libraries and content addressable storage.

Andy Hardy, managing director of international sales at Compellent, said: “Neil brings extensive technical expertise on SAN and systems architecture to our team and will help lead architectural efforts for any customer, regardless of size. He will also be responsible for assisting Compellent’s international business partners in developing their line of business with Compellent products.”

Before HDS, Stobart held a senior consulting role with storage network vendor MaXXan Systems, and was consultancy practice manager at Morse Group. Prior to that, he worked within the financial services industry at Woolwich PLC. Stobart holds more than 15 technical certifications from major network storage vendors including Commvault, HDS, HP, IBM, Microsoft, StorageTek and Sun. He has a BA in Applied Economics from the University of Hertfordshire.
