Skin Rejuvenation Clinic, P.A. Unveils New Non-Surgical Laser Creation, The North Star Peel

The North Star Peel is the name chosen for the latest non-surgical laser solution brought to market by Skin Rejuvenation Clinic of Edina. The North Star Peel combines three existing laser/intense pulse light technologies into one powerful treatment. The peel includes a ProFractional® laser treatment, MicroLaserPeel™ and Broadband Light (BBL/IPL) treatment.

According to the husband and wife owners of Skin Rejuvenation Clinic, Dr. Mark and Dr. Elizabeth Hagberg, the name North Star Peel was an effort to give credit to the innovative laser services being performed and developed in the Midwest.

“Often when people research the hottest trends in the cosmetic industry, they automatically focus on what’s happening on the south, east or west coasts,” explained Dr. Mark Hagberg. “Because Skin Rejuvenation Clinic is one of the first medical spas in the country to combine ProFractional laser with MicroLaserPeel and BBL technology, we chose the name North Star Peel to celebrate the cosmetic advancements being generated in the Midwest.”

A similar treatment in the industry, also offered at Skin Rejuvenation Clinic, coined the South Beach Peel™ involves the MicroLaserPeel and a BBL treatment. The South Beach Peel is ideal for treating a face with acne scarring, fine lines and brown spots, redness and/or age spots.

The North Star Peel takes it one step further than the South Beach Peel by adding a ProFractional laser treatment to the service. “The addition of the ProFractional to the MicroLaserPeel and BBL service is significant because it literally doubles the fight against wrinkles,” Dr. Mark said. “Because the MicroLaserPeel and ProFractional lasers are each targeting skin at different depths, when the two are paired, we see incredible, thorough results in reducing wrinkles.” He added that the North Star Peel’s additional Broadband Light or BBL service will help get rid of or reduce any unwanted pigmentation issues from sun damage, such as brown spots, or vascular concerns like rosacea or broken capillaries.

Dr. Elizabeth Hagberg said that the North Star Peel is an ideal solution for many patients, especially those also considering plastic surgery. “We are seeing a change in the cosmetic industry. More and more patients are turning to non-surgical cosmetic options because of the dramatic results these treatments can now provide,” she said. “Long gone are the days when going ‘under the knife’ was the only viable solution to shedding years from your face. We just encourage all people considering plastic surgery to also come in for a consultation with a non-surgical cosmetic team to weigh all the available options,” she said. “Many times, there is a comparable non-surgical solution that is not as expensive, requires much less downtime and provides little to no discomfort.”

Dr. Mark concluded, “Although the North Star Peel is new to our practice, we have administered the treatment on many clients already and they are extremely satisfied with the results.” He assures potential clients that even if the North Star Peel sounds like a more aggressive treatment than you specifically need, Skin Rejuvenation Clinic can tailor a non-surgical treatment plan for you.

“Depending on the issue to be corrected, whether it’s moderate to severe wrinkles, pigment concerns, acne scarring or just poor skin tone and texture, Skin Rejuvenation Clinic can design a mild or aggressive and effective laser program for each client using multiple laser and light technologies.”
