Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce and Brickyard Crossing Golf Resort team up for inaugural “Business at the Brickyard: Maximizing Golf as a Business Tool”

July 11, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
An estimated $28 billion in annual sales in the United States alone is directly attributed to contacts, conversations and relationships initiated or conducted while on a golf course. Because of this proven potential of golf as a business tool, the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce and the Brickyard Crossing Golf Resort are teaming up to bring Indianapolis-area business professionals the inaugural “Business at the Brickyard: Maximizing Golf as a Business Tool,” August 8, at the Brickyard Crossing.

Office Depot Business Services Division and LinxTracker™ present “Business at the Brickyard” to bring together both the experienced and aspiring business golfers for a day of skill development, networking and, of course, a good game of golf.

Pete and Alice Dye, PGA Hall of Fame legends, to be featured
Pete and Alice Dye, the world's top golf design team, will be on hand to kick off the event, interact with participants throughout the day and finish off the day with a keynote speech to dinner attendees. Attendees also will have their photo taken with the Dyes.

The full-day event will include morning breakout skills clinics and seminars geared toward any playing level. Topics will include Top 10 Things You Never Want to do on a Golf Course, golf rules and etiquette and more. Attendees will receive instruction from a David Leadbetter instructor, local golf pros and Pete and Alice Dye. After lunch, all attendees will participate in the golf scramble or hone their skills at the Golf School.

Foursomes teamed up with business celebrities
Scramble foursomes will be matched with local business celebrities, including Scott Brown, KeyBank; Joie Chitwood, Indianapolis Motor Speedway; Dave Griffiths, Citizens Gas; Cathy Langham, Langham; John Myrland, Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce; Ron Pearson, Pearson McMahon Fletcher England; Rich Pegram, WTHR; George Pillow, Pillow Express Logistics; Steve Schenck, Regions Bank; Al Smith, Bank One; Maurice Spagnoletti, Fifth Third Bank; Steve Sterrett, Simon Property Group; Steve Stitle, National City Bank; Cassie Stockamp, Perita Services; and Gene Zink, Triton Pacific Investment Management.

LinxTracker™ Player Development software to make debut

LinxTracker allows golfers, coaches and teaching pros to capture, view and analyze golf round statistics on a hole by hole, shot by shot basis and provides them an easy and automated method to help analyze individual as well as cumulative round data.
