Internet marketing expert launches new book by giving it away for free

Nikki Pilkington, author of 299 Steps to Website Heaven has taken the unusual step of releasing her entire book for free at the same time as it is for sale as an e-book and paperback. Each of the 299 tips (along with some bonus tips) is being published on Facebook, business networking websites such as Business scene and BT Tradespace and the dedicated 299 Steps blog at www.299steps.com.

Nikki Pilkington, who has over 12 years experience in online marketing, explains what inspired her to write the book. “There’s a lot of rubbish spoken about the ‘dark art of SEO’, mostly by people with a vested interest in letting non-experts believe that it is beyond their capabilities.
