The Bishop of the Cesidian Church has issued the "Saint René Descartes Declaration".

In this Declaration, the Bishop announces that the Cesidian Church has already beatified René Descartes (or Renatus Cartesius) for his first miracle, the miracle of the discovery of analytic geometry. This miracle of human thought has produced further miracles, since it provided the basis for the calculus of Newton and Leibniz, and through this Descartes also became one of the key figures in the Scientific Revolution.

Through the "Saint René Descartes Declaration", the Bishop also makes public the Cesidian Church's intention to canonize Descartes or Cartesius as a saint, and invites all people, especially people of religion, philosophy, and science to give their signatures in support of René Descartes's canonization as the Cesidian Church's first saint.

The Declaration gives ample evidence in support of René Descartes's canonization, and provides Internet navigators with a convenient Web form, which can be signed and filled out, in support of "Saint René Descartes".
