Gripester (http://www.gripester.org) searches across all major consumer opinion websites, as well as many smaller ones, to deliver the most relevant results in the fewest pages.

Gripester is the brainstorm of Dale Hartley, a consumer affairs consultant to the U.S. Department of Defense.

"I was annoyed that consumer complaints are scattered throughout many gripe sites," Hartley said, "and the same is true of product reviews. Finding reliable information requires sifting through dozens of pages of seach results and then meandering from site to site."

Gripester searches those consumer complaint and product review sites for you, Hartley said, and delivers the most relevant results in the fewest pages.

"People are used to calling the Better Business Bureau as a sort of one-stop resource for complaints about a local company. This is the same simplicity applied to the internet — a one-stop resource for complaints and consumer opinion."

Hartley also publishes the website Consumerama (http://www.consumerama.net), which is billed as the only comprehesive directory of consumer protest sites. Consumerama is one of the many consumer opinion sites indexed in Gripester.
