EPW Telecom Group LLC Releases Business Suite Telephone System to Cincinnati
This digital service replaces the local Bell company service and allows users to configure features to conform to their business. The features include auto-attendant, find/me-follow/me, multiple mailboxes, virtual fax and many other options. Prices for the service are approximately 40%-60% less than basic service from the Bell companies.
“The Telephone Deregulation Act of 1996 helped large companies save money, while the SMBs (small-to-medium sized businesses) were at the mercy of the local Bell company for telephone service.” EPW’S digital phone service allows companies to finally realize the savings previously available only to large enterprises,” said Ellstrom.
After deregulation, the large enterprises fled from the Bell companies and started using the Competitive Local Exchange Companies (CLECs). This meant that rates for smaller companies and residential users increased to cover overhead of the Bells. Until recently, these SMB customers had no alternative to paying the increased prices. But with cable companies offering alternative digital service to homeowners, and now EPW’S offering digital business service, the competition in the marketplace has increased dramatically.
