July 11, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
The treasures of Northeast Washington State refuse to be confined to any one gallery or artists’ studio. Colville Arts Foundation has branched out to encompass the studios and galleries of working artists in Stevens and Ferry Counties. Rare finds, must-sees, and discoveries await the visitor to this hidden pocket of the state. The tours are free and open to the public. Visit the spectacular scenery of The Columbia River Valley, a place with the right mixture of solitude and community which has fueled artist’s imaginations for generations. Bring along your sense of adventure and follow the trail, The North Country Artists Trail, www.northcountryartisttrails.com

The color brochure and map will guide you to 14 of the region’s finest art studios and galleries in Kettle Falls, Colville, Northport, Republic, Chewelah, Orient and Rice. The self-guided tour brochure is available at over 168 sites in Spokane, WA. Pick up the brochure at Chambers of Commerce in Colville, Deer Park, Kettle Falls, Chewelah, and the communities of Liberty Lake, Mead, Pullman, Sprague, Ritzville, Green Acres, Airway Heights, in Washington State, and Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint in Idaho. North Country Artist Trails’ participants have varying opening times and opening dates—and some are open by appointment only—please check the brochure and/or web site. There are painters, sculptors, ceramic artists, fine art photographers, boutiques, galleries, and even a winery on the tour!

All NCAT participants will be open the last two weekends in July and August, namely, July 29th, 30th, and 31st, and August 26th, 27th and 28th.
