Pat Summerall and Joe Avezzano Join Ownership Group of DFW Sports Universe

(PRLEAP.COM) DFW Sports Universe is pleased to announce that Pat Summerall and Joe Avezzano have joined the ownership group of www.DFWSportsUniverse.com DFW Sports Universe is a new concept in how to deliver sports content to readers. It combines the best aspects of a social network, along with exclusive content about the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars, Dallas Desperados, Frisco RoughRiders, and all the other professional sports franchises in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

Pat Summerall is an icon in sports broadcasting and has the distinction of having broadcast more Super Bowls than any other announcer. In addition to football, Mr. Summerall has also broadcast professional golf and tennis. He is a member of the American Sportscasters Association Hall of Fame.

Joe Avezzano is best known for being the special teams coach of the Dallas Cowboys during the 1990’s dynasty and helping the Cowboys to three Super Bowl victories. He is the only three time winner of the NFL Special Teams Coach of the Year. He also served as the first head coach of the Dallas Desperados.

• Jamey Newberg – Creator and writer of “The Newberg Report” covering the Texas Rangers and their farm system. Contributor for TexasRangers.com and MLB.com.

• Pete Tenney – Producer of “DFW Sports Beat” and radio producer for Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket.

• Allen Cordrey – Owner of Like Minded Enterprises, Inc. and co-founder of Texas Friday Nights.

• John Demcher – Owner of OSAR Consulting, Inc. and co-founder of Texas Friday Nights.
