GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan – Display Pack Inc., a leading manufacturer of consumer packaging and injection molding applications, celebrates its 40th anniversary.

Founded by Roger Hansen in his one-stall garage where he produced skin board packaging (packaging that forms a plastic film covering over a product), Display Pack now employs 500, and has enjoyed unprecedented growth in the past two years as a leading manufacturer of consumer packaging and automotive in-mold.

Through the Company's Single Source Solutions™, it can manage the entire packaging process from start to finish within its facilities, including packaging design, 3D renderings and prototypes, thermoforming, printing, die-cutting, contract packaging and stocking programs.

The Company also founded an In-Mold Applications division in 1978, which manufacturers affordable, decorative interior trim for the automotive industry. Display Pack is a certified supplier to automotive companies such as GM, Ford, Chrysler LLC, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Renault, MG, Honda, Nissan and Toyota.

“Display Pack’s growth has been contrary to what many Michigan manufacturers have experienced in the past decade,” said Vic Hansen, president of Display Pack Inc. “We provide products and services to a wide range of industries, including automotive and consumer products. This diversification has provided a safety net to capitalize on stronger industries while others are sluggish.”

Display Pack celebrated its 40th anniversary at its annual employee picnic in September. The company has also just renovated its 100-year-old facility on Grand Rapids' northwest side with a brand new main floor reception area, conference area and parking.

The privately held company operates both divisions in its 450,000-square-feet manufacturing facility at 1340 Monroe Ave. N.W. in Grand Rapids, Mich. The website is www.displaypack.com.
