Ricky Hatton Heaviest Backed British Sportsman Ever

Although we are happy to take the punters on by offering Hatton at 13/8 we are being so well accommodated that it cannot last much longer. We have already taken some fifty four figure bets on Ricky to win."
The worst possible result for William Hill would be a Round Seven triumph for Hatton, having taken two bets of £1000 at 40/1 for Hatton in seven, Hills have cut the odds to 33/1.
"Ricky in Seven would be anything but magnificent for us" said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe. Hills have also cut the odds about the fight going the distance from 8/13 to 4/7.
