Wendy Coulter Named 2007 Women Extraordinaire

(PRLEAP.COM) RALEIGH, N.C. – Hummingbird Creative Group, (www.hummingbird.creative.com) a Raleigh-based creative services firm, has announced that Wendy Coulter, president of the firm, has been named a 2007 Women Extraordinaire by Business Leader magazine. The awards are presented annually to a select group of women who have made outstanding contributions to their professions, companies and the community. Coulter was honored along with the other 2007 award winners at a luncheon on Dec. 6 at North Ridge Country Club in north Raleigh.

Coulter is president of Hummingbird Creative Group, a creative services firm specializing in building brand identities. She has more than a decade of experience in advertising and design. Coulter and the team at Hummingbird have won numerous design awards, including silver and bronze international Summit Awards and 2004 and 2005 Triangle ADDY Awards, as well as the 2007 American Corporate Identity 22 Competition. Coulter has been honored as one of the Triangle’s top 25 businesswomen and by the Triangle Business Journal as both a Women In Business Award winner for her exemplary leadership skills and a 40 Under 40 Leadership Award winner. She is a member of the Cary Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and the Ad Club of the Triangle. In addition, she has served as a past chair of the Capital City Club’s Young Executive Board, as well as a board member of the 6th Annual Big Bad Ball.
