Palacinka.com (PAL-A-CHINK-A) is first website to rate and review beauty products for women of color. Palacinka.com takes the guesswork out of buying your next beauty product.

Palacinka.com is the first online source for beauty product reviews for women of color.

In the Palacinka.com Foundation Report and Concealer Report visitors can use the interactive site to learn which foundations and concealers the Palacinka.com team recommends based on extensive testing and rating, for all women of color, regardless or skin type or coloring.

Palacinka.com was launched because there was a need for honest reviews of cosmetics, skin and hair care products for women of color. The consumer audiences of many other beauty product review sites are not made up of a significant number of women of color, who have different needs and experiences with hair and skin products and certain categories of cosmetics — like foundations, powder, concealer and blush for instance."

Says Dilinger, "With Palacinka.com consumers can use our interactive Foundation and Concealer reports, read seasonal product reviews of hair, skin and cosmetics products, read our Under $10 Cosmetics reviews, Home Relaxer Kit Reviews and other special reports like “How to Survive Curly Hair”. We also have Product Review Discussion Boards, where visitors can give their opinions of how a particular product worked (or didn’t) for them. We also provide links to various online stores where they can do more research on the product, or purchase it."

Dilinger and the Palacinka.com team are all self-proclaimed “cosmetics junkies” of various backgrounds representing today’s multi-cultural mix and outlook –African-American, Multi-Racial, Latino, and Asian decent from North America, South America, and Europe. “Our team represents the direction that the US population is going in, which is also a global reality. Many beauty companies who recognize this are responding with more and more products and categories to fulfill the needs of various women of color – which means more great products to review for our readers!"

The Palacinka.com team all have backgrounds in advertising and marketing, cosmetics, and fashion, but for Dilinger and the rest of the team this project was also the result of a need that they felt in there own lives. “I envisioned a site like Palacinka.com because it was the site that I always wanted to find on the web myself! There have been many products I’ve tried over the years that I wish I had been able to have a first hand account of before I spent the money and then wasn’t pleased with the results – or on the flip side a great product that I wanted to share with all of my girlfriends that would also make them look great!”

Palacinka is an Eastern European word for a crepe, but also a nickname for a pretty woman.
