Long Island, NY, December 24, 2007 – LIParentSource.com, a centralized resource for Long Island families, announced two new programs launching January 2008 – Mom in the Spotlight and MVP Dad.

Every mom and dad is making a difference, whether they are stay at home, working or volunteering. Although becoming a parent is one of life’s happiest times, it can also be a difficult transition for many women and men, losing a sense of themselves outside of the family. As parents, we spend our days multi-tasking and juggling kids and responsibilities while we take on the task of becoming CEOs of our households. Oftentimes, parents get so caught up in the lives of their children, resulting in feelings of being underappreciated and unrecognized for all that they do.

Beginning January 1, 2008, Mom in the Spotlight and MVP Dad will profile one Long Island mom and dad each month, focusing on everything that they do for themselves, families, careers and community. Profiled parents can also discuss balancing, favorite family activities, volunteer work and advice for other parents.

LIParentSource.com is currently looking for nominees for Mom in the Spotlight and MVP Dad; nominees do not need to be anything other than a mom or dad. Nominations can be submitted all year long vial e-mail to info@liparentsource.com. Please include contact information and specific reasons why you chose your nomination.
