London, January 4, 2008 - The Finnish Alma Media Interactive Oy has signed a license agreement for Mascus, the European online marketplace for used machinery and transportation vehicles, with the Austrian company Teleport to open offices in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

Mascus, the European electronic marketplace for used heavy machinery and transportation vehicles continues to fortify its market position. Currently, the marketplace has customers from 33 countries and each month it is visited by more than a quarter of million buyers and sellers. "Mascus's success lies in its board variety of used equipment. The website is available in 23 languages and we are constantly expanding, aiming to become the first truly Pan-European marketplace serving as well as local and cross border trade buyers and sellers." says the company Managing Director, Fredrik Larsson.

The First Truly Pan-European Marketplace with Multi Local Approach:
Mascus's number of offices across Europe will now increased by three. The most recently signed license agreement with the Austrian company Teleport attends opening offices in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. So far Mascus has ninety German, Austrian and Swiss dealers using its services predominantly as export channel to the Nordic countries, UK, Central and Southeastern Europe and Russia, where Mascus is well-known by buyers and sellers trading locally and importing second-hand machines and trucks from Western Europe.

More Possibilities for German, Austrian and Swiss Dealers:
"Many of our German, Austrian and Swiss customers will benefit that Mascus will be more oriented towards buyers of used machines and trucks in German-speaking countries. Opening our offices in these countries is an important step towards providing them with possibilities to sell their used equipment and trucks to local buyers, while strengthening the export channels from the region" adds Jan Bechstain, Sales Manager for Germany, Austria, Switzerland countries.

Teleport will have the right to use Mascus trademark and platform and will be responsible for the sales and marketing. "When we decided to sign a cooperation agreement with Alma Media Interactive Oy, the owner of Mascus, we highly appreciated Mascus's quality as a European-wide marketplace with local and international reach. By combining Mascus with our customer portals in Germany, Austria and Switzerland we will provide dealers from the region with more opportunities to sell machines to construction, transportation, logistic and forestry companies and farmers from German speaking countries. We will promote Mascus on major local industrial magazines, fairs, events, Internet portals, and the German Google." said Markus Raith from Teleport.

From now on German, Austrian and Swiss dealers will have own Mascus versions in own language with extra services; www.mascus.de, www.mascus.at and www.mascus.ch, where machines from whole Europe are found. Sellers will have a possibility not only to trade outside the region but within their own country too and for the same price their machines will be visible on many of Teleport's classified portals such as www.quoka.de, www.quoka.at, www.quoka.ch and www.laendleauto.at.
