Aloaha releases Software Package to enable qualified digital signatures

July 18, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
The package includes a PC/SC capable Smartcard Reader, a smartcard and the award winning Aloaha PDF Suite to create a digitally signed PDF Document from every windows application.

Following the introduction of electronic signature laws in most countries and the EU Regulation concerning digital signatures, EU countries are now spinning off in an electronic race to comply with the said regulation by end 2005.

The roll out of the Digital Signature Pack can be accompanied with a qualified digital certificate loaded on to the smartcard. The smartcard is re-writeable so that organizations with their own PKI infrastructure are able to write their own certificates to the card.

“Applications like the Aloaha PDF Suite help organizations to accelerate the widespread acceptance of digital signatures and the new electronic ID Cards in Europe,” said Martin Wrocklage, managing director of Wrocklage Intermedia GmbH

An evaluation version of the Aloaha PDF Suite can be downloaded from http://www.aloaha.com. Soft Certificates are supported by Aloaha so that a card reader is not required to evaluate the Aloaha PDF Suite.
