Partnership agreement to make learning relevant to business

July 20, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Tata Interactive Systems (TIS), the global e-learning pioneer, has concluded a partnership agreement with the Netherlands-based consultancy Scientafix. Under the agreement, TIS will provide e-learning content development services to Scientafix clients; while Scientafix will supply TIS clients with strategic consulting services, along with implementation of the e-learning materials, learning management system (LMS) and other tools.

“Our aim, in working with clients, is to turn knowledge and learning into results,” commented Jop Duyvendak, joint head of Scientafix, whose clientbase predominantly consists of Fortune 500 companies in Europe. “We are delighted to be working with TIS, whose aims are similar to our own and whose skills and competencies are complementary to ours.”

Duyvendak and his colleague, Maarten de Groodt, have, together, over 50 years experience in the world of technology delivered learning solutions. For example, de Groodt has been director of training for Cap Gemini and Oracle and started up what is now the SumTotal Systems learning management system practice in mainland Europe.

“We are successful only when our customers are successful,” said de Groodt. “That's why everything we do is focused on one goal - helping each organisation we work with to forge a path towards achieving the results they want, quickly and consistently.”

TIS has developed over 950 custom built e-learning solutions for more than 300 clients across all sectors of the economy - including education and the public sectors - and operates in the USA, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Japan as well as in India.

Apart from holding ISO 9001 and BS7799 certification, TIS is the only e-learning organisation in the world to be assessed at Level 5 in both the SEI CMM and P-CMM frameworks.

“TIS places great emphasis on quality – of process, product and relationships,” explained Manoj Kutty, TIS’s worldwide president of sales and marketing. “We believe that our strategic partnership with Scientafix will help to improve the quality of each company’s offerings to their many clients.”
