Los Angeles, CA — Author, poet, teacher and Director of The Conscious Living Foundation, William Simpson, is returning for a visit to his home in Evansville, August 10th through 14th. He was born in Evansville in 1945 and graduated from Culver Elementary and Plaza Park Middle School before moving with his mother and father to Missouri in 1960. All of his remaining family still live in the Evansville area.

“Evansville has always been home for me”, he noted, “although I now live in Southern California, Evansville is where I spent my childhood.” “I can’t wait to get home and wander the streets, reminisce with old friends and eat some home cooked meals with my family.”

In addition to visiting family and friends, Simpson is coming home as part of his book tour, promoting his new collection of spiritual poetry, From The Path: Verses on the Mystic Journey. He will be reading his poetry at Borders (6401 E. Lloyd Expressway) on Friday, August 12 at 7 pm and Barnes & Noble (624 S. Green River Rd.) on Sunday August 14th at 2 pm.

He will be offering free meditation workshops along with his poetry, at Bead Angel (3033 W. Maryland St.) on Thursday, August 11 at 7 pm and Spiral Dance (1451 S. Green River Rd.) on Saturday, August 13 at 2 pm.

Reviewers describe his book as “… sheer joyful wisdom, wonder, warmth and wild beauty … The language is stunning… I am not big on poetry, but I think From the Path is more than just a book of poems. It is a way of thinking and being that comes from our connection with language and the power of words…” BookIdeas.com “A spiritual bullet that will penetrate your soul with excitement for the written word. …poems filled with inspiration about … faith, love and beliefs. An appealing book of wisdom… a wonderful gift or tool for your own soul searching.” Midwest Book Review

After leaving Evansville, Simpson continues his book tour with appearances in Missouri, Kansas, Colorado and Arizona before returning to California.
