Luke Abolins Crowned 888.com PokerProForAYear

January 10, 2008 - After approximately six hours of intense poker at Melbourne’s Crown Casino, Englishman Luke ‘Resteal’ Abolins was crowned PokerProForAYear beating out stiff competition from nine other talented players from around the world. Carlo Carione finished in second place followed by Luke’s sister, Joanne Abolins in third.

Organizers 888.com (http://www.pokernews.com/pacific-poker.htm) and PokerNews Ltd (http://www.pokernews.com/) were more than happy with the turn out. "We were excited to send the PokerProForAYear finalists to Australia to battle it out for the Champion. It was a great series and it was good to see that the final table lived up to the excitement. Luke’s first prize includes entry into four major poker tournaments around the world, (including the 2008 Aussie Millions and World Series) covering all buy-ins, accommodation, travel and expenses. Second prize consists of sponsorship into the 2008 Aussie Millions including buy-in, accommodation and travel expenses with the third place winner receiving $1,000 worth of entries into Pacific Poker Global Qualifiers.
