HDRwalls.com Relaunches with Simplified, Accessible Design

February 13, 2008 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
February 13, 2008 - HDRwalls.com has been in operation since 2007, but unlike many sites that have grown cumbersome and unwieldy with age, HDRwalls.com, just put itself on a diet. Gone are all the extraneous elements that make many sites confusing, such as the old flash structure of the site. The site is now forty percent faster with the use of PHP and lightweight HTML. Visitors to HDRwalls.com will find easy access to free high definition wallpapers for their desktop, Blackberry, iPhone, iPod, and PSP.

“There are times when less is definitely more,” said Michael Grabowski, HDRwalls.com founder. “People come to us looking for one thing - high end wallpapers. We’ve removed every hurdle that might get in the way of a visitor hitting our site and going straight to the photographs they want.”

High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography is achieved when multiple exposures (light levels) of a photo are combined into one image resulting in incredibly vivid images. HDR photography is becoming fairly popular among advertisers and photographers. The idea of having an HDR only wallpaper site is only natural as the stunning images are becoming increasingly popular. The best photos are those where artists do not overuse the technique and create cartoon like images. When done right, HDR can result in some breath takinig images. As such, HDRwalls.com only has the latter type of photos available as wallpapers.

“I think that when you do one thing and you do it really well, you don’t need a lot of window dressing,” said Grabowski. “The site simply provides free high resolution wallpapers for various applications. Period.”

HDRwalls.com is constantly refreshed with fresh images for its user base. The editors welcome and invite your questions, comments, and ideas. Send email to: questions@HDRwalls.com.
