July 27, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
Part of the evening’s entertainment is The Tivoli Boys Guard Band from Copenhagen, Denmark. These 47 boys aged 11 to 16, are recognized as an international symbol of Denmark and its people. The young musicians will perform wearing their dress uniforms whose tunics are the colour of the Danish flag, complete with black bearskin hats and a small sword at their sides.

The Stockie Stars in the Sky Fireworks will be the dramatic finale to the season launch. Beginning at approximately 9:10pm, during the interval of the Stratford Festival production of The Tempest so that patrons at the performance can also enjoy them, the fireworks are timed to highlight the music of Bert Carrière’s Music for a Midsummer’s Night, a selection commissioned especially for Stratford Summer Music’s opening night in honour of B.J. “Bo” Sibold, long-time Stratford businessman and arts patron; the music is heard only on this occasion each year. Bring your radio and listen as the music is played over Stratford radio station CJCS 1240.

Stratford Summer Music invites you to the dramatic launch of the fifth season and to any of the 56 concerts, indoors and out, of the fifth season.
