Listeners Press is supporting International Listening Awareness Month by practically giving away a pdf version of its premier release, Rule 1: Stop Talking; A Guide to Listening, for the entire month of March. The book, (also available in paperback), is written by communication expert, Linda Eve Diamond.

Anyone purchasing the e-book version in March of Rule #1: Stop Talking! through the publisher, http://ListenersPress.com, will pay only $2.50. (The e-book will revert to its original price of $11.95 on April 1.) The paperback is also available at the publisher’s usual 15% discount.

International Listening Awareness Month was established by the International Listening Association (ILA) to raise listening awareness. The ILA was founded in 1979 to promote and encourage listening. Its membership includes researchers, educators, corporate trainers, business owners, mediators, meditators, musicians, audiologists—anyone interested in learning, teaching, or exploring listening as a skill, an art, and a path to successful relationships. This year the ILA’s annual conference is in Portland, Maine, from March 27-29. For more information about the ILA and/or the conference, visit http://Listen.org.

Linda Eve Diamond, author of Rule #1: Stop Talking, is also creator of the website, http://ListenersUnite.com, “an online meeting place for listeners” and a member of the executive board of the ILA. During nearly fifteen years in corporate training, Linda created and implemented a number of listening and communication programs. She is also the author of several other books spanning business, education, and poetry. For more about the author, visit http://LindaEveDiamond.com.

Diamond is excited that March is a time to raise listening awareness, but is quick to remind us: “March is Listening Awareness month, but you can do it any time! Listening is a year-round event.”
