Award-Winning Writer Emily Liebert Launches New Website

Emily Liebert, award-winning, internationally published freelance author, editor, and writer has just launched a brand new website. Liebert, who writes for regional, national, and international magazines, newspapers, and websites focuses on luxury lifestyle stories, specifically travel and home design.

Most recently, Liebert served as editor for Kerry Kennedy’s upcoming book Being Catholic Now: Prominent Americans Talk About Change in the Church and the Quest for Meaning, which is set to publish with Random House on September 9, 2008. She will also serve as writer and editor for Good Morning America fashion correspondents Jennifer Goodkind and Jayne Chase's upcoming book on what it means to lead a fashionable life. Her debut novel One White Picket Fence, Please is currently being shopped to publishing houses.

“Launching my new website in conjunction with the completion of my debut novel was very intentional,” said Liebert. “It’s important for publishing houses to be able to access my clips easily as well as editors I’m pitching to. The site is a one-stop shop for viewing the breadth of my writing and editing experience.”

Liebert is the Editor-at-Large for Boutique Design magazine, for which she produces travel pieces worldwide, and a Contributing Editor for Westchester Cottages & Gardens. Liebert has edited and written for such publications as, Elite Traveler, Robb Report, Gotham, Connecticut Cottages & Gardens, Hamptons Cottages & Gardens, Manhattan Living, Travel Savvy, Our Town and Westsider newspapers, Westchester Home & Garden, Relate, RINK, Bedford, and The Hampton Sheet, as well as for the websites celebratewithstyle.com and julib.com. She has also done writing and editing work for Court TV.

Liebert has interviewed a long list of celebrities and high-profile subjects, including: Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, Chevy Chase, Marlo Thomas, James Earl Jones, Paula Zahn, and NYS Attorney General Andrew Cuomo.

A graduate of Smith College, Liebert served as Editor-in-Chief of The Westchester WAG magazine for five years and, prior to that, worked for ABC NEWS’ Peter Jennings Reporting. She received the Clarion Gold Award in Magazine Journalism and has made regular television and radio appearances.
