The work of Joseph Knight, exclusive designer and founder of Knight & Hammer Private Jewelers, the uber-exclusive private jewelers to American billionaires, world leaders, and international celebrities, has been selected for fine art exhibition.

Knight&Hammer exclusive collections Le Mal Afrique and Trenta have been selected by Victory Arts Projects curator and director James Pustorino for “Love is for Lovely People: Artists Look at Matters of the Heart in Modern Society."

Among the pieces selected is Mr.Knight’s 4” sterling silver heart-on-fire interpretation, dramatically titled “Passion.” Not only is the piece a stunning perspective, but also the newest addition to the highly-touted Trenta collection. Also on display will be Knight’s configurations of rare and beautifully-colored glass African wedding beads from Mali adorned with 14K yellow and 18K pink gold heart shaped clasps, The “Le Mal Afrique” collection, as it is called, is one of Knight’s most revered collections, combining the beauty of history with the brilliance of gems.

Knight&Hammer Collections, as well as the materials and workmanship, adhere to Knights passion to pursue Jewelry with a ConscienceTM. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each piece of Le Mal Afrique will be donated to the effort to build wells in Haiti and Africa, giving entire communities a fresh source of drinking water. A tribe in Senegal, Africa has handcrafted leather jewelry boxes for each piece of Le Mal Afrique. These fairly-traded creations help to build the local economy in Senegal.

“One of our members had recently acquired a diamond engagement ring from Knight&Hammer designed by Joseph and suggested we look at Mr. Knight's jewelry on his www.KnightandHammer.com website. Once we saw his creativity it was a no brainer inviting him to exhibit with us,” said Mr. Pustorino.

“I have always thought of myself as an artist, my medium just happens to be precious metals and gems, not paint and canvas. It is rewarding to be recognized as more than a designer, but as an artist,” explains Joseph Knight “The preview opened on the day before St. Valentine's Day appropriately enough looks at love in our contemporary society. Love is for Lovely People asks artist and viewers to consider modern love and its many varied relationships. The exhibition will review the cultural and commercial expressions that result from these affairs of the heart. The artists look at the symbols and signs of love that we use to express ourselves and see in popular culture, from hearts and flowers, motels, neon, feathers, chocolates and fading snapshots-taking us from weddings and honeymoons to homes,” shares Pustorino.

The show underwritten by real estate developer K. Hovnanian's 77 Hudson Sales Center at 101 Hudson St. 17th fl. Jersey City, NJ. VICTORY ARTS PROJECTS' LOVE IS FOR LOVELY PEOPLE:
