Pet Memorials From Everlife Memorials Allow Pet Owners to Pay Tribute to Loved Animals

Corpus Christi, Texas - Everlife Memorials reported that the American Pet Products Manufacturers Association projected that between 2006 and 2011 more than 60 percent of pet owners would purchase a memorial at the time of their pet’s death.

While most pet owners choose cremation, others elect to bury their pet at local pet cemeteries or on their private property.

In response to pet owners’ wish to memorialize a pet, Everlife Memorials—one of the leading Internet providers of funeral and cemetery memorial products—now offers a full line of pet memorials designed to honor a loved pet’s memory.

“Most owners choose to cremate their pets. With more people choosing cremation as an option for themselves for either health or religious reasons, it overflows to the decision making process when it comes to the death of their pet,” said Joseph J. McCabe, president of Everlife Memorials. “Owners will select urns–from brass to porcelain–or cremation memorials with their pet’s photo on it, to hold the ashes. Some owners also want to have their pet close to their heart forever, and purchase a piece of pet cremation jewelry which holds a small amount of their pet’s ash in a pendant.”

Other owners still choose to bury their pets either at pet cemeteries or at home.

“The number of pet cemeteries has grown to over 800 nationwide, and many owners will bury their pet in a plot at the cemetery,” said McCabe. “The owners will purchase satin-line caskets and include their pet’s favorite toy, leash or collar with them. And they’ll select grave markers or headstones that have a photo or etching of their pet on it, and sometimes a loving epitaph.”

Most owners also choose to remember their pet at home, keeping their favorite items, photos and more in keepsake boxes.

“Pets have long been a part of our lives. Many are considered to be members of the family and as such are deserving of the same attention both in life and in death,” said McCabe. “Pet memorials pay tribute to a cherished pet, honoring them and celebrating their life.”

Everlife Memorials’ pet memorials include urns, cremation jewelry, grave markers, headstones, cremation memorials, caskets, laser-engraved plaques, ceramic pictures and memorial accessories including keepsake boxes, photo frames and ornaments.
