April 09, 2008 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
Los Angeles, CA/April 9, 2008 – Minute by Minute, previews for various cancer organization leaders, with limited seating for the public, on April 18th, 19th at 8p.m. and April 20th at 7p.m. at The Odyssey Theatre, 2055 S. Sepulveda, West Los Angeles, announced Rich Flisher, writer and performer of this self-produced play based on his true story.

“My most immediate goal is to fill as many seats as possible, especially with leaders at cancer support organizations that might want to partner for future benefit performances, people close to them, folks who have been affected by cancer (themselves or loved ones), and those who might have a sympathetic commitment to our mission”, continues Mr. Flisher, whose task is to raise money for cancer support organizations.

Minute by Minute, developed and directed by Rod Menzies, is an uplifting portrayal of one man’s encounter with cancer. The play, candid, brave, and often hilarious, examines the ways cancer ravages more than the body– testing relationships, disrupting careers and challenging faith.

The play is an invite only, an insider’s preview or producer’s session, in order to determine and evaluate future partnership with cancer organization’s fund raising events. “We are running this show… because we truly want to raise money…”, accented Rich Flisher, whom was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at 26 and remains in remission now for 13 years.

Some of the Cancer Support organizations which have showed interest are; the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The Wellness Community, Dr. Susan Love Foundation, Art of the Brain Foundation, and Lance Armstrong Foundation, among others. These organizations are invited to facilitate a post performance discussion with audience members concerning issues raised by the play.
